Privacy Policy

QuranHub is a Qur'an reading and listening app. This policy explains, plainly, what happens to your information when you use it.

The short version

QuranHub is anonymous by default and works fully without an account. If you never sign in, nothing you do is sent to us — everything stays on your device.

Signing in is optional. If you choose to sign in (with Google or Apple), we create an account for you and — if you turn on cross-device sync — store your reading data on our server so it follows you across your devices. That's it. No ads, no analytics, no tracking across other apps or websites, ever.

If you don't sign in

QuranHub keeps your reading experience on your device only — your last-read position, reading marks, playlists, playback settings, and personal reading and listening history. This information is stored locally on your device and is never sent to us or anyone else. Deleting the app removes it.

If you sign in (optional)

When you sign in with Google or Apple, we create an account for you. From that sign-in we receive and store your email address and a user identifier, used only to recognize your account across your devices. We do not ask for or display your real name, and this information is never shared with third parties or used for advertising. (With Sign in with Apple you may choose "Hide My Email"; in that case we only ever receive Apple's private relay address.)

If you enable cross-device sync, the reading data listed above (last-read position, reading marks, playlists, playback settings, reading and listening history) is stored on our server so it stays in sync across your devices.

QuranHub also has an optional community feature (presence and a leaderboard). It shows only aggregated, anonymized activity, presented so that individual people are not identifiable — you never see another person's identity, and they never see yours.

This data is used only to provide these features (sync and community). It is never used for advertising, profiling, or tracking, and is never sold or shared with third parties for their own purposes.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Me → your account → Delete account). This permanently removes your account and the data synced to our server. Your on-device data stays until you remove it or delete the app.

Location

If you use the Qibla compass or prayer times, QuranHub asks for your location. Your location is used only on your device to calculate the Qibla direction and prayer times for where you are. It is not collected, stored on any server, or shared with us or any third party. You can deny or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings; the rest of the app continues to work.

Recitation audio

When you play a recitation, your device streams the audio directly from EveryAyah (everyayah.com), a third-party Qur'an audio provider. This is standard content delivery — your device requests the audio files it needs. QuranHub does not send any personal information as part of this. Please refer to EveryAyah for their own terms.

Third-party content

QuranHub bundles Qur'an text, mushaf fonts, and translations from established sources (King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex via the Quranic Universal Library, the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs / Kemenag, and Saheeh International), and streams recitations from EveryAyah. These are credited inside the app under Me → Credits & acknowledgements. Using this content does not involve collecting any information about you.

Children

QuranHub is suitable for users of all ages. It collects no personal data unless you choose to sign in, and sign-in is never required to read or listen.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of QuranHub changes what information is collected or how it is used, this policy will be updated to describe it before that change ships. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
